Norwich Theatre Royal - professional shows are brought to Norwich direct from London's West End or as part of their national and international tours. Including drama, dance, opera, comedy and concerts. Bars and restaurant offer a wide selection of hot and cold food, snacks and drinks.
Norwich Cathedral - Founded in 1096 and built using Normandy stone shipped from Caen, Norwich Cathedral is set in the 44 acre Cathedral Close, a peaceful city centre sanctuary. This Cathedral tells almost 1000 years of history, with our enthusiastic volunteers on hand to talk you through the incredible stories of its past. You can also experience the tranquillity of our expansive Library, Herb Garden or Japanese Garden, as well as guided tours of the building throughout the week.
Norfolk Tank Museum - the Norfolk Tank Museum houses a collection of military vehicles, weapons and militaria mainly from the 20th Century and the Cold War Period. The collection of tanks and armoured cars is maintained in a working condition or is awaiting restoration by our team. Including Deborah II, the replica Mk IV Tank as seen on Channel 4’s documentary ‘Guy Martin’s WWI Tank’. Other exhibits include artillery, uniforms and an extensive collection of British small arms. You will also find have a unique collection of Centurion tanks: an AVRE; a Mk13 Gun Tank and an ARV, these are on static display most of the year, but can be seen in action along with other vehicles on our purpose-built course at Armourfest August 2022. Also on static display, with full public access, are a Chieftain Main Battle Tank and a Saladin Armoured Scout Car, you can climb inside and experience the confirmed space and atmosphere of the crew turret. We have many other vehicles, uniforms and small arms on display. The Norfolk Tank Museum offers a unique, ‘hands-on’ experience, giving you the opportunity, wherever possible, to have access to and to handle our exhibits.
City of Norwich Aviation Museum - In early 1982, museum exhibits included Avro Anson (TX228), Westland Whirlwind (XP355), Sea Vixen (XP919) and a Dassault Mystere IV (121). 1983 saw the arrival of our Vulcan bomber which flew in to the airport after its retirement from service. By 1985 the museum had moved to its present site and an air fair held to help raise funds to expand the museum. At this time the Anson had gone (having been damaged beyond economical repair during gales) but Vampire (XD373) had arrived. 1986 saw another air fair on 14th September that saw attendance figures break the 20,000 barrier and another arrival, T-33 (16718). Over the next few years, services were laid, the main exhibition hall erected and the arrival of more aircraft.
